Licence for China boundary data
The licence for every China administrative boundary dataset sold here: what you may do with the GeoJSON and Shapefile files, and the two things you may not.
This licence applies to every dataset sold on this site.
You may
- Use the data in commercial and non-commercial work, including paid client projects.
- Modify it, generalise it, reproject it and combine it with other data.
- Publish maps, reports, applications and analysis made from it, without attribution.
- Install it on any number of machines inside the purchasing organisation.
You may not
- Resell or redistribute the data as a standalone dataset, or as the substantial part of one.
- Publish it as a free or paid download that competes with this site.
Scope
One purchase covers one organisation, including contractors and agencies working on its behalf. If you are buying on behalf of a client who will own the result, the client is the organisation covered — buy once, in their name.
No warranty
The data is provided as it is. Administrative boundaries change, sources disagree, and generalised geometry is not survey-grade. We make no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, and our liability is limited to the price paid.
Sample data
The free sample is licensed for evaluation and internal use only, under the same restrictions on redistribution.
